The answer is yes, simply because any habit is a matter of personal participation and we do participate personally in worry or in being happy… as we do when we brush our teeth or tie our shoelaces to the point when it becomes second nature.
Every industry has its assets and liabilities and it is worthwhile to remember that we, whatever we do to ourselves, are the greatest industry in the world. We, within us, have assets and liabilities, and if we are willing to know ourselves a little better, and that is not difficult, then we will understand what our assets and liabilities are. We will learn to take advantage of our assets and control some of our liabilities, or perhaps stop exaggerating them.
Tensions are at a minimum when we are happy. We cannot eliminate tensions altogether, yet wherever possible we must stand up to these tensions and stresses to develop our mental and spiritual muscles, just as in a game an athlete shows his abilities best under stress.
